CoAssembly Design co-op
- CoAssembly is Taiwan’s first design studio founded on cooperative (co-op) principles, established by I-hao Liao (Mōr), Tzu-Yun Wei, and Munus Shih.
- Our work spans brand identity design, creative technology, cultural research, and community-based education. We see design as part of a long-term commitment to relationships, and believe meaningful practice emerges through deeper connections with society.
- We collaborate closely with local and global teams and organizations, including Taiwan Design Research Institute (TDRI), National Taiwan University, Pratt Institute (New York), the Taiwan Pavilion at the Berlin International Film Festival, and Asian Labor Future (Thailand).
- Since 2022, CoAssembly has led the SpOnAcT! project, curating the 2nd International Processing Community Day in 2023 — connecting over 20 artists, creative engineers, and educators across six countries and reaching more than 5,000 online participants.
- We recently published Survival Handbook for Contemporary Workers (vols. 1 & 2), presented at the Tokyo Art Book Fair and the Bergen Art Book Fair in Norway.
